 On November 22 Dacia Romania announced the production of the Dacia Sandero car with the number 50,000.
From March to November Dacia announced sales of 7500 Sandero in Romania, 4900 in France, 4700 in Germany, 1600 in Spain, for a grand total of 50,000 since launch.
In other news the diesel engine will be available at the beginning of next year. |
 Renault sales in august a decrease of 8.5%, compared to the same month last year, while Renault Samsung Motors has reduced the sales by 5.5% in the same period.
Dacia sales in August are up by 15%, for all 3 models, the Logan sedan, Logan MCV and Sandero. What this means ?
Dacia low cost but good quality car is showing signs of staying up despite the worl economic crisis.
Especially on the non-western markets, like South America, where cost is important when buying a car, Dacia Sandero does very well.

Dacia Sandero is the romanian's manufacturer first hatchback. Starting as low as 6890 Euro (taxes included) for the basic version (1.4 liter engine, 75 hp) Dacia Sandero is aiming to young people.
The car is available in 5 versions : Sandero, Ambiance, Préférence, Laureate and Prestige, price range is between 6890 euro and 9850 euro.
Dacia Sandero (basic configuration) has 1 airbag (driver), radio system, ABS, AEB, 3 safety belts (height adjustable).
One of the Dacia Sander strong points is the generous space, the length of 4.02 meters put the car in the small vehicle category but the width of 2.59 meters usual for medium compact cars, which results in a generous interior space.
One interesting thing to notice is the price, Dacia Sandero is much cheaper than the same version comercialized in France and South America.
Motorization is based on 2 engines : 1.4 (75hp) and 1.6 (90hp) liters, multipoint injection, 4 cylinders. Fuel consuption is (1.4MPI engine) 5.4 liters/100km extra urban and 9.6 liters/100km in urban environment. |
 Dacia will launch Sandero in Great Britain in the beginning of 2009.
The car will be sold through the Renault dealer network, having a good coverage of the country.
This will be the start of Dacia's return in the Britain, after a long absence. |
